This week I do have rather short, but useful hint for you. At least, if you use Android devices.
I’m very active android user and type texts using my phone regularly.
Sometimes I have to edit already typed text. Editing does not work that great for me. And the main reason here is – it is hard to put cursor to required position. Especially when this required position is located in the very begging or in the very end of a line.
During long time I was sure that this is a price one has to pay for touch based interface, where you have no mouse or cursor buttons.
Recently I learned that I was wrong. If you use google keyboard (I assume it is called GBoard now) you can move the cursor left and right just swiping over space “button”. It is as simple as it sounds.
Meanwhile, I have to admit that the feature does not work ideally, sometimes it does not recognize that I’m swiping.
But even with mentioned issue, this is very useful trick I learned.
BTW, if you find this trick useful – you are very welcome to share this post!
